Duration : 2 hoursDistance : 7.3kmEasy Yellow markup The Dolmen of Crucuno is the most imposing of Morbihan stripped of its mound, W. Lukis, English archaeologist, describes there (1864) a corridor with a total length of 27 m. Step by step : Departure: Facing the dolmen, go to the right (direction south). Pass between two houses, follow the path, turn right at the first intersection (westbound). Continue passing in front of the Kergazec washhouse (located along the path on the right). Variant: in rainy or humid weather, possibility to reach Kergazec by the Crucuno road: from the car park, go straight ahead with your back to the dolmen (westbound) then take the first path on the left, 400 m away (opposite a Calvary) , to reach the village of Kergazec.1- At Kergazec, turn left (southbound) cross straight through the hamlet to find the path. Continue to the Saint-Antoine chapel.See a fountain and wash house 100 m between the chapel and the departmental road.2- Cross the main road and continue along the path parallel to the departmental road (southbound), passing along the power supply station. After 300 m, turn left in front of the isolated house to see the menhirs of the Vieux Moulin. Then take the left path towards the Varquez pond. Go left to the intersection. Turn right. 100 m away, facing the pond, take the path on the left which climbs towards the Dolmens of Mané Remor, badly damaged during the German occupation during the Second World War. Highest point of the town (33 meters), the German troops had installed a relay antenna there which they blew up during their retreat, with the megalithic tombs. Return to the pond, take the main path on the left and continue to the road through the woods. Here variant in wet weather: take the road to the left then, 500 m, the path to the right just after the incineration plant.3- Before the road, take the path on the left (west direction) to the village of Kernevé along a pond. Cross the village by the paved road. At the intersection with the main road, take the grassy path on the left. Make the round trip by a landscaped path leading to a pretty common flowered village. Back on the road, cross it to follow the path opposite (northbound). At the 1st intersection, turn right. At the 2nd intersection, turn left (before the basins of the treatment plant, not very visible).4- Continue along the path, watching on the left for the quadrangle of Crucuno. After the quadrilateral, return to the path and continue to the left to find the Crucuno dolmen.5- The Saint-Antoine chapel (1624) includes a fountain, calvary and lec'h. It is assumed that there was an earlier oratory or even a Roman temple. The statues of Saint-Antoine and Saint-Eloi, very popular in the countryside, invoked to protect cattle and horses, feature prominently there.6- The presentation of the quadrangle of Crucuno, not far from the dolmen, is unique in France despite destruction. Consisting of 22 non-contiguous menhirs, rectangular in shape, it is perfectly oriented on the cardinal points. This enclosure measures 34 m by 26 m. The diagonals correspond to sunrises and sunsets at the solstices. It is not a cromlech which is circular.
